New properties pick up post lockdown

Buy new homes post lockdown, from our wide range of diverse properties available. We help you through a quick, off-market transaction if you are still looking for the right place.

Our results this month are on par with our highest performing month on record - connecting a total of 19 buyers with their new home, so they can be settled by Christmas. With three days left before October comes to a close, we anticipate surpassing this figure with further sales over the days ahead.

This week we exchanged three properties: 411/37 Amalfi Drive, Wentworth Point (2 bed), 1914/18 Footbridge Boulevard, Wentworth Point (1 bed), and 1010/13 Verona Drive, Wentworth Point (1 bed).

The sale of 411/37 Amalfi Drive far exceeded our owners’ expectations, reaching the impressive price of $800,000, a result above its price guide and one ultimately driven by the multiple prospective purchasers competing to secure it. The price marks a new record sale for a two bedroom apartment in the Sorrento building, joining the growing list of record sales we’ve consistently seen this year.

Buyers continue to act fast on opportunities in order to be successful in the current market, as 1914/18 Footbridge (Sirius building) saw a swift, off market exchange immediately after its first open home.

Sales activity in Wentworth Point remains steadfast, with 38 properties sold over October. The demand the suburb is commanding from buyers has remained consistently high this year, and while a little extra supply adds variety to the properties on the market, the volume of sales we’re seeing locally signals there's still plenty of buyer demand to offset any impact on competition or prices as new properties joining the market picks up post-lockdown.

With a number of owners now acting on their decision to sell, these movements in supply are reflected in the wider Sydney market which saw new listings lift sharply over September, rising 31.6%. We’ll see the full effect of the removal of restrictions once October ends, and whether the rate of new listings surpasses last month’s.

Although buyer confidence is at a peak, we understand buying a home is still one of the biggest decisions you can make. We’ll help guide you through a quick, off market transaction if you are still looking for the right place, and with our wide range of diverse properties available, you can trust we’ll be able to accommodate your preferences.
