Powerful competition driving prices

Buyers are still making waves in the market while buying first home, generating powerful competition that keeps home prices strong in Australia. Know more.

Buyers are still making waves in the market, generating powerful competition with their consistent activity keeping prices strong, and seeing properties often attract multiple offers before selling.

These buyer behaviours are even more evident when it comes to properties offering desirable living features such as spacious courtyards, entertaining spaces, and pleasant outlooks. With unique characteristics that make their livability and comfort even greater, these types of homes attract significant interest quickly, creating competitive negotiations, and pushing buyer urgency.

Quick and confident buyer decision-making has driven the four exchanges we made this week, with all four properties spending a very limited time on the market. 506/3 Footbridge Boulevard, Wentworth Point (1 bed) was exchanged after 12 days, 203/1 Half Street, Wentworth Point (2 bed) after two days, 901/11 Wentworth Place, Wentworth Point (2 bed) was sold off market prior to its first open home and 316/16 Baywater Drive, Wentworth Point (2 bed) was secured off market, before any sales campaign launched.

At its first open home on Saturday, 203/1 Half Street drew an impressive 24 groups, the highest attendance number we’ve seen at an open home in Wentworth Point in recent years. The private, ground floor home with an expansive, multi-access courtyard attracted immediate offers from four separate buyers, exchanging on the same day with an excellent result well above the owner’s expectation, and becoming the new home of a local Wentworth Point resident looking to upsize and stay in the suburb.

Haven’t quite found what you’re looking for? We have five diverse homes coming to market this week, from Wentworth Point to Ermington and Canterbury:
605/1 Park Street North, Wentworth Point - 2 bed entry level in Regatta, with a large and multi-use winter garden able to accommodate a study; 602/17 Wentworth Place, Wentworth Point - 1 bed atop Marina Square, with direct water views; 804/53 Hill Road, Wentworth Point - 1 bed top floor in Broadwater with low strata, and spacious kitchen; 213/24-32 Koorine Street, Ermington - 2 bed with 2 car spaces, large living space and oversized winter garden with unobstructed water views; 313/364-374 Canterbury Road, Canterbury - 1 bed + study with huge living area and separate study alcove.
