Chiswick is an inner west suburb of Sydney. It is located 9 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD in the local government area of the City of Canada Bay. The suburb sits on the banks of the Parramatta River.

Getting there and getting around

Chiswick can be reached by ferry. The Chiswick Ferry Wharf is one of the stops of the Parramatta River ferry services. The area is also serviced by a number of bus services and is the terminus for many routes. Bus routes that travel to and from Chiswick include the 436, 439, L37, L39, 502 and 504 routes of the Sydney Buses Network. The suburb has many lovely foreshore walking tracks where residents and visitors can enjoy the riverside views.

Lifestyle and population

Chiswick is a small but vibrant suburb that makes the most of its riverside location. A small village of shops is located close to Chambers Park, affording lovely views of the river. There are a number of parks and recreations areas in the suburb including Chambers Park, Chiswick Park, Blackwall Point Reserve and Fig Tree Bay Reserve.
