Beverly Hills is a southern suburb of Sydney. It is located 17 kilometres south of the CBD. The suburb is located within two local government areas. It lies partly in the local government area of the City of Canterbury and partly in the local government area of the City of Hurstville.

Getting there and getting around

Beverly Hills Railway Station is on the Airport, Inner West and South Line of the Sydney Trains Network. The Punchbowl Bus Company route 450 runs through Beverly Hills as does the 452 and 453 routes of the Transdev NSW Bus Network.

Lifestyle and population

The main Beverly Hills shopping and commercial strip is on King Georges Road, close to the train station. Here you will find a range of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. The area has a number of sports and recreation facilities including Beverly Hills Park, Canterbury Golf Course, and Coolabah Street Tennis Courts, that also has a children’s play area and BBQ facilities.

Beverly Hills has a diverse population with residents from many different cultural backgrounds. With a population of about 9,600 people, just over 51% of Beverly Hills residents were born in Australia. Significant other countries of birth include China (12.5%), Hong Kong (3.9%) and Greece (2.5%). Just under 47% of households are occupied by families with children.
