Location

Belmore is a western suburb of Sydney. It is located 14 kilometres south-west of the CBD in the local government area of the City of Canterbury.

Getting there and getting around

Belmore Railway Station is on the Bankstown Line of the Sydney Trains Network. The Punchbowl Bus Company route 942 runs through Belmore as does the 372 and 373 routes of the Sydney Buses Network.

Lifestyle and population

Belmore has a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial areas. The suburb has a vibrant and diverse population with residents from many different cultural backgrounds. The main shopping and commercial strip is on Burwood Road. The primary sports and recreation facility in Belmore is the Belmore Sports Ground. This is currently home to Sydney Olypmic, the New South Wales Premier League Team.
